Annual Report
Highlights from the 2006/2007 year.
- Highest attendance at a club dinner for many, many years (80).
- Continued stability in membership numbers
- Congratulations to Andrew Cameron and his sponsorship group which managed to gain $5600, through local Penguin businesses. We also had in excess of $3000 of in kind donations made to our club.
- Congratulations to Bruce Edwards for supporting the most consistent U/19-U/23 boat crew in the State this year.
- Currently developing a business plan with Business Consultant Warren Moore. This plan will establish an order of how and what we can afford to do in terms of our clubhouse/membership development. This plan will include areas such as bar upgrades, building extensions for a gym/equipment storage area and putting strategies in place to grow our membership.
- Completing constitution update.
- Continued support of Central Coast Council
- The continued success of our annual ball put together by Wayne and Kathy Viney, Natalie Seymour and Dean Dunham.
- Southern State Challenge representative Tayla Ray.
- State A team representatives Kirby Randall U/15, Georgia Laird and Zoe Gee U/14.
- Jonathan Downie attended National Leadership Development Camp.
- The continued support for our schools and other organisations, providing water safety at their events including Penguin High School and Penguin Primary School.
- The running of the Penguin Primary School surf awareness program for Grade 6 students both practical and theory based.
