Juniors
Introduction
The Junior or Nipper section of our club is very much focused on fostering not only physical participation but also nurturing children's emotional and social development.
Our committed group of parents are very aware of the emotional challenges that young children face and are pro-active in providing training and competition that encourages respect of both the individual and the team, confidence to face new challenges and the feeling of acceptance and self-worth that comes from being part of a supportive and encouraging Club.
Our aim is to focus on the individual child and their inclusion in the team. We allow them every opportunity to participate in events that they wish to. Team event members are rotated over the carnival series to allow maximum participation. State Title competition teams are formulated with the intention of providing every individual team member the opportunity to achieve a maximum result.
Nipper parent involvement is not only welcomed, but encouraged. Family participation extends to water safety, beach training, Age Management, First Aid training and even handling the BBQ. Involvement at all levels is respected and recognized.
Families and their members are treated without bias, with all children recognized as equal despite physical capabilities.
Membership within the Penguin Surf Life Saving Club is a highly rewarding and supportive environment.
